Habitat work is a long game, and most of what's sold as habitat work in New England is really just cosmetic. We plan for a decade, not a season, and everything we build is measured against whether the species you actually care about are showing up.
Every site tells you what it needs if you look at it carefully. We work through the full toolkit, mechanical, grazing, fire, and targeted chemical treatment when called for, in a combination that actually solves the problem instead of pushing it around for another season.
The working forest is the foundation for nearly every landowner in New England. Our goal is to grow and promote healthy soil, sound silviculture, honest inventory, and the discipline to leave a stand better than we found it.
The farm work most contractors won't touch and the orchard work most arborists don't understand. We do both, from routine field mowing and fence lines to full orchard establishment, and the rejuvenation work that brings a neglected apple stand back into production.
Before anyone touches your land, we want you to know what you have and what you want it to become. Written plans, site walks, and the paperwork side of ownership (current use, easements, cost-share programs) handled by people who work the land themselves.
Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and every serious Southern research lab have been delivering real applied wildlife science to private landowners for decades. New England hasn't. We're bringing that work here with camera surveys, telemetry, browse assessments, eDNA, acoustic monitoring. All for the property owners and clubs who want to actually know what's using the land.
Access is the piece landowners tend to under-invest in until they can't move a truck or a skidder where they need to. We build roads that hold up through mud season, stormwater systems that survive real rain, and trails that get used regardless of the time of year.
