Wildlife Research & Monitoring
Every major hunting and habitat state south and west of us has had access to university-level applied wildlife research for decades. New England has often fallen behind. By teaming up with universities, USFW, and a variety of nonprofits, we're building that capability here, at the private-landowner scale with professional camera surveys, telemetry, browse assessment, eDNA, acoustic monitoring, Deer Management Assistance Programs, and the coordination that connects private land to the researchers who want to work on it.

Trail Camera Surveys
Professional camera surveys use scientific density, station spacing, timing, and statistical analysis (the Penn State model recommends one camera per hundred acres). Deliverable is an analytical report with population estimate, buck-to-doe ratio, fawn recruitment index, and age structure, not a pile of photos. Available as one-time surveys, annual monitoring contracts, or extended predator and mesocarnivore occupancy studies.

Deer Management Assistance Program
Modeled on the national DMAP framework that Mississippi State pioneered in 1977 and has run continuously ever since. Annual program includes harvest data collection (weights, antler measurements, lactation status, jawbones for aging), camera surveys, browse impact assessment, and an integrated habitat and harvest recommendation. Multi-year contracts let us track herd metrics against management decisions season by season.

GPS Collar & Telemetry Services
Full-service telemetry study support for landowners, clubs, and research partners: collar deployment, seasonal monitoring, data pull, and movement analysis with home-range and habitat-use mapping. We can lead a study directly or provide field-side support for a university team, whichever fits the project.

Habitat & Vegetation Studies
Forest regeneration transects, browse impact assessment, fixed-plot vegetation monitoring, and exclosure installation. Delivers the same data that state agencies collect on public land, at the private landowner scale. Long-term monitoring contracts let you measure your management against actual outcomes rather than gut feel.

Wild Turkey Monitoring
Brood counts and poult surveys through summer, dedicated turkey camera surveys, roost tree identification and mapping, and turkey-focused habitat improvement planning. Modeled on MSU's Upland Avian Ecology Lab and Penn State's long-running turkey work.

Ruffed Grouse & Woodcock Surveys
Dawn drumming surveys and dusk singing-ground surveys during the spring window, plus young-forest cutover monitoring to track how habitat management is translating into bird response. Both species are Species of Greatest Conservation Need in the NH Wildlife Action Plan.

Waterfowl & Wetland Bird Monitoring
Breeding pair surveys, wood duck box installation and annual monitoring, marsh bird call-back surveys for rails and bitterns, and migratory waterfowl camera monitoring around ponds and impoundments. Pairs naturally with beaver flow devices and wetland restoration work.

Small Mammal & Furbearer Studies
Camera surveys, hair-snare stations, and targeted monitoring for fisher, bobcat, marten (in northern NH), coyote, gray fox, and red fox. Useful for landowners and clubs trying to understand predator pressure on game species, and for research partners studying furbearer populations in New Hampshire.

Regenerative Agriculture & Soil Biology Monitoring
Soil health baseline testing (biology and nutrients), Haney soil tests, cover-crop and regenerative food plot design, and multi-year monitoring contracts. Modeled on research comparing regenerative and conventional plot outcomes. Best fit for landowners running rotational livestock, cover cropping, or no-till food plot systems.

University & Agency Partnership Support
For universities, regional and national fish and wildlife agencies, NRCS, USGS Cooperative Research Units, and other organizations that need field-side coordination on private land, we handle landowner access negotiation, day-to-day research support, and multi-property research network coordination. We're the operational bridge that lets research happen on land that would otherwise be off-limits to the agency.
